★★★★★“They were EXTREMELY fast, careful, and professional. I was stressed about getting my sofa out because it was so big it had to be built inside the unit. They slid it out like butter.”
— Lavora W.
★★★★★“Alex and his crew were fast and did the job well. Definitely recommend them.”
— Charles P.
Moving services for The Loop.

Local Moves Within The Loop
Every Loop residential building has its own move-in rules — Aqua Tower, 340 on the Park, Marina City, and the Printer's Row lofts all run differently. We confirm your building's specific requirements at booking: COI specs, loading dock hours, freight elevator reservation, and whether your move window is weekday-only.

Long Distance & Out-of-State Moves
Loop residents moving out of the city tend to be professionals relocating for work — to other major cities, to the suburbs, or out of state entirely. These moves usually involve high-value items and tight timelines. Binding rate before we load, no fuel surcharges at delivery, same crew both ends when distance allows.

Packing, Storage & Supplies
Loop buildings have strict move windows — typically a few hours and done. If your closing date or lease start doesn't line up with the building's available slots, our Lincolnwood warehouse holds your shipment between moves, billed on actual cubic feet. We also do full packing for high-rise moves where you need everything protected for an elevator ride and a loading dock transfer.

Apartment / Small Home
Studio, 1BR, or 2BR. Loop studios typically run $400–$700 and one-bedrooms $500–$900. High-rise freight elevator moves add time — a two-bedroom in a tower like Aqua or 340 on the Park typically pushes toward $1,400 depending on floor and how the building times the window.
Larger Home
3BR to 4BR or larger. 3 to 4 movers, larger truck, single day. Blankets, shrink wrap, and disassembly included.
Long Distance or Office
Out of state, commercial, or specialty. Binding rate locked at booking. No fuel surcharges or weight surprises at delivery.
Ranges are approximate. Final cost depends on access (stairs, elevators, walk distance), packing needs, heavy or specialty items, distance traveled, and date. Submit the form above for a free, no-obligation estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions
: How does EZ Movers price a Loop high-rise move?
We charge by the hour with the full total given before we start. A studio or one-bedroom in a Loop high-rise typically runs $400–$900. A two-bedroom runs $1,000–$1,400. Larger units or moves with a lot of specialty items run $1,400–$1,900. The freight elevator and loading dock add some structure to the day — we account for that in the estimate rather than discovering it on the clock. We charge hourly with the total quoted upfront — no end-of-day upcharges, fuel surcharges, or surprise fees.
My Loop building requires a Certificate of Insurance. Can you provide one?
Yes, and this is standard for us on every Loop move. We carry $2M in general liability and can issue a COI naming your building as an additional insured with whatever coverage limits your management requires. Give us your building manager's contact when you call and we'll get it to them directly — you shouldn't be the middleman on that paperwork. Most Loop buildings want the COI at least 5–7 business days before your move date, so don't wait until the week of.
What should I know about the loading dock and freight elevator at my Loop building?
This is where Loop moves live or die. Most residential towers downtown — Aqua, 340 on the Park, The Legacy, Marina City — have loading docks that are shared with commercial building deliveries, and residential move slots are limited, often Monday through Friday only, and many buildings cut moves off by 3pm to avoid rush hour elevator conflicts. If you book a Saturday move expecting loading dock access and your building doesn't allow it, you're rescheduling. We confirm your specific building's loading dock hours, freight elevator reservation process, and any weekend restrictions at booking — not the morning your crew shows up.
I'm in Printer's Row — is my building different from the Loop towers?
Yes, meaningfully. Printer's Row loft buildings — the converted warehouse and printing buildings along Dearborn and Plymouth — are older structures with their own quirks: smaller freight elevators or no freight elevator at all, narrower hallways from the industrial-era layout, and building managers who vary a lot in how they handle move coordination. Some are very relaxed, some are stricter than a glass tower. We ask specifically about your building when you call rather than assuming all Loop buildings run the same way.
