Neighborhoods:Despite its considerable size and population, the town of Collierville is divided into just three neighborhoods. The largest by far is the suburban neighborhood of Bailey, which is actually among the top 5 percent of wealthiest neighborhoods in the country. The majority of Bailey residents are married couples and families, and most are urban sophisticates with executive careers. The Town Center neighborhood is also popular, and contains Collierville's historic Town Square.
Housing:Larger homes and mansions are quite common in Collierville. While there are a few apartment buildings and other multi-family structures, most are single-family homes and gated communities that feature a wide range of architectural styles, including several homes listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the entire Collierville Town Square. Some of the styles found in Collierville include Classic and Late Gothic Revival, New Traditional, and Italian Villa.
Attractions:One of the largest and most popular attractions in Collierville is the Avenue at Carriage Crossing, a shopping center with more than 80,000 square feet of retail space. The historic Town Square is also a common retail destination, with plenty of unique shops and eateries, a tree-lined park, and the town's original train depot.
